To, že ska je hudební styl vyznačující se důrazem na druhou dobu, je všeobecně známo, a navíc je tomu skutečně tak. Ovšem doba a místo vzniku bývá úmyslně či nedokonalou znalostí problematiky zkreslováno, když odborník napíše: "ve druhé polovině padesátých let na Jamajce..." To je vskutku kravina a je na čase otevřít vám oči a naservírovat plody mnohaletého úsilí, bádání a odříkání běžných rozkoší života, kterých vy si nabíráte plnými doušky. Když manželé Krocovi ze Stupna začali tušit, že v hlavě jejich potomka se rodí nápad hodný génia, kterému současný režim nebude rozhodně nikdy nakloněn, odjeli syna počít do Ameriky a už se nevrátili. Jako bumerang se do našich zemí vrátil po mnoha letech vrchol kulinářského umění a na "českého McDonalda" jsme právem hrdi. Podobným způsobem se vrací ska tam, kde se narodilo. Kdesi ve Stínadlech v hlavě kovářského učně.
EVOLUCE STYLU SKA
Původní kořeny ska sahají mnohem a mnohem dále, co se doby vzniku týče, a mnohem blíže ohledně místa vzniku. Museli bychom se totiž podívat do třicátých let minulého století, kdy se ve Stínadlech učil kovářem Milan Tleskač, starší bratranec slavnějšího Jana Tleskače. Jakožto učedník tloukl do rozžhaveného kovu neustále na druhou dobu a při tom si se svým mistrem dnes a denně zpívali lidové a trampské písně. Mistrovi to samosebou připadalo naprosto normální, vždyť tloukl na první, ale Milan byl po čase tak ovlivněn, že už nebyl schopen zpívat cokoliv, aniž by si nepodupával na druhou dobu.
Během několika let se Milan zdárně vyučil a po nepříliš vydařeném období způsobeném smrtí bratrance Jana Tleskače a následnou fašistickou okupací staví se Milan na vlastní nohy a rozhoduje se založit Stínadelskou kovářskou akademii - SKA. V jeho velkém úsilí se mu ovšem nikdy nepodařilo sáhnout až na vrchol a 26. 2. 1948 definitivně prchá ze země před režimem, který se bude všemi možnými prostředky držet u moci tolik let a nikdy již neumožní slavnému Čechovi návrat do jeho rodné vlasti!
Pár měsíců strávil Milan Tleskač jako dělník ve francouzkých docích, aby nakonec pouť za realizací svého snu ukončil na Jamajce, kde začal se sháněním prostředků na stavbu kovářské akademie muzicírováním po večerních pajzlech a špeluňkách.
Původně místní obyvatelstvo jeho divně melodické písně v češtině a důrazem na nezvykle druhou dobu nebralo příliš vážně, ovšem brzy se tyto chytlavé melodie a exoticky znějící rytmus hluboko vryly těmto pod kůži. "Co je to za muziku?! Co je to za muziku?!", volali s údivem ve tvářích tleskající Jamajčané. A Milan Tleskač, tuše, že jeho Stínadelská Kovářská Akademie se mu již nenávratně vzdaluje, klidným hlasem odpovídá: "To neznáte? To je ska!"
V polovině padesátých let (a to nám taky pan Foglar nikdy neřekl) zakládá Milan Tleskač první ska kapelu, kde se mj. sešli, tehdy mladí a čerstvě propuštění z bauxitových dolů, Fred Marley (ano, otec slavného Boba Marleyho, který přibližně za patnáct let přistupuje na měkčí a Američany ovlivněnou fúzi jamajské hudby, totiž reggae), Desmond Dekker (neprávem považován za praotce ska) a dále Black&Decker (vynálezce elektrické pily) a Doubledecker (syn řidiče londýnské MHD a pozdějšího konstruktéra velkokapacitních autobusů).
Po velkém boomu ska a nástupu nových hvězd, Tleskačových žáků, je stopa Milana Tleskače téměř zaváta. Několik indícií nás vede na samotný okraj Kingstonu, kde starý, zahořklý a zcela zapomenutý Milan Tleskač 14. 9. 1995 ve 4:28 možná umírá. Ale to už jsou jen dohady.
